Ladies Craft Day

It’s finally here --- the long-awaited

ALL-DAY Ladies’ Craft Day

The day will begin at 9am and go through 9pm.  This is a great time to finish all of those projects you started this year or to make those treasured handmade Christmas gifts!

April Wise will be teaching us how to make a custom iron-on t-shirt.  If you are interested in making one – you will need to bring your own new t-shirt plus the cost is $3.00 for the iron on materials. Fruit of the Loom works great, so do the t-shirts from Target – long or short sleeve – no v-necks.  You can bring a colored tee or a white one.

Bring a snack to share throughout the day and a heavy appetizer for lunch (chips, dip, finger sandwiches, etc.).  Dinner will be provided - we will be having taco soup around 5:00pm.  To help with planning – please RSVP before Thursday, Nov. 29.  You can RSVP through the Ladies Craft Night Facebook page or email April at aprilwise2001@gmail.com.

Details for this event coming soon.

Smith-Werhan Distinctively Baptist Preaching Conference

Pioneer CBF Missionaries to Speak at Hominy Baptist

Sunday October 7, at 10:00 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. Hominy Baptist Church will host the 17th annual Smith Werhan Distinctively Baptist Preaching Event. Our guest speakers will be T and Kathie Thomas, the first two missionaries to serve through the Cooperative Baptist Fellowship in 1993. The session at 10:00 will be an informal presentation and Q&A. At 11:00 T and Kathie will bring the sermon during worship.

Through the Smith Werhan Preaching Event, Hominy Baptist Church honors the pastorates of Rev. M.D. Smith, 1945-1970, and Dr. Fred Werhan, 1973-1995, by focusing attention on the distinctive beliefs, ideals and characteristics of the Baptist tradition. Previous speakers have included Cecil Sherman, Daniel Vestal, James Dunn, Nancy Sehested, Roy Smith, Suzii Paynter, and Guy Sayles. For more information contact the church at 667-4541 or hominy@bellsouth.net
