Hominy Child Care
Hominy Child Care is a five-star rated child care program. We also serve older children in our after school program and summer camp. We serves children from six weeks through twelve years of age.
Hominy Child Care is a ministry of Hominy Baptist Church and works closely with the church to provide educational and spiritual opportunities each week.
Hominy Child Care is open year-round from 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., excluding holidays. Tuition costs are outlined in our parent handbook, which you will receive when you tour the facility.
We utilize Creative Curriculum focusing on the educational and developmental needs of the children. Teachers provide regular communication to families on their child’s progress through Brightwheel.
Hominy Child Care utilizes the USDA food program providing breakfast, lunch, and snack each day. The children in after school are served a snack each day. In summer camp breakfast, lunch, and snack are provided from Buncombe County Schools USDA program.
After school is available to the students who attend Candler Elementary, Enka Intermediate School, and Enka Middle School, from mid-August to mid-June, depending on the school calendar.
Summer camp is available to students in the entire Enka district from mid-June to mid-August. A wonderful calendar of events is scheduled each summer for the students ranging from educational outings, swimming, water parks, putt putt, movies, bowling, the lake, Nature Center, and other specialty outings.
