New Sanctuary Foyer Construction
Conversations in 2016 about improving access to our Sanctuary and adding convenient restrooms led to a generous gift to fully fund the construction of a new Sanctuary foyer that includes an elevator, new handicap-accessible restrooms and a welcome center. Designed by Talley and Smith Architecture, construction by Cresent Consctruction has begun and will be complete in the spring of 2018.
The upper level will connect with the Sanctuary vestibule where a stained-glass window (relocated to the new corridor) is currently located. The corridor will take you to spacious accessible restrooms, a lobby where restless parents and children can still observe the service via flat screens, and church offices and classrooms. An elevator and the existing office stairwell will descend to the lower level.
A covered walkway from the Ministries Center will lead to handicap accessible doors in a lobby from which you can reach DayStay, an elevator and stairwell to the upper level, or proceed on to the Welcome Center, Courtyard or Youth Room. Renovated restrooms will serve youth and other activities as well as Room in the Inn.
