May 27 Upper Lot
For two+ weeks, effective May 27, the middle, west and back sections of the upper lot will be closed for waterline construction. We will lose the parking spots in the middle of the lot and everything beyond the Ministries Center door. Parking in the front lot will be limited to handicapped parking and pick up and drop off on weekdays, and handicapped and guest parking on Sundays. If you are picking up or dropping off someone please be sure you are not blocking the limited lanes of traffic. Staff will park in the lot closest to the school and cemetery.
We will have no access through the parking lot from Candler School Road to Hominy Church Road for the duration of construction. Until trenchwork resumes, the fence will be located from the corner of the Smith Building to the Ministries Center kitchen so we are able to park in front of the Ministries Center again. Parking is no longer available in our lower lot.
You are able to drop off passengers between the glass door and the Ministries Center doors but parking between the buildings on Sundays will be limited to older adults and families with small children. Three spots under the tree are designated for Guest Parking only. Parking spaces along the cemetery is available on the Hominy Church Rd end. There is a passenger loading zone by the ramp door.
Candler Elementary School has graciously offered use of their lower lot for parking and we will run the coach as needed. We will have people to direct traffic and parking on Sundays as needed.
Daily Bread drivers should park in front of the Ministries Center
Childcare Parents and Staff and ABBCM Staff and Clients!
Childcare Parents and Staff will park in marked spaces in the existing gravel lot.
ABCCM Clients will park in marked spaces on an additional gravel lot across the driveway.
ABCCM Staff will park in the back of the gravel driveway.
Acceptable parking spaces will be marked by a wooden parking chock.
Please do not block the lower driveway or construction entrance for any reason!
Please be patient and watchful whenever you come to the campus as parking and traffic situations will always be subject to change.
