Loving God, Loving Others, Loving You—With all our heart, soul, mind and strength!

Holy Week Worship Opportunities

Palm Sunday April 1
Following Bible Study at 9:40 a.m., the children will lead in the palm procession into the sanctuary for Palm Sunday at 10:45 a.m. After the Children's Choir sings, all children are invited to a very special children’s worship event that will teach the importance of Holy Week and Easter. There will be crafts, games, and Bible stories. All of this will take place while the parents are in worship enjoying the Sanctuary Choir presentation of At the Name of Jesus. Following the worship service, after lunch in the Ministries Center, we will have the annual Easter Egg Hunt.

Maundy Thursday Community Worship
Thursday, April 5, 7:00 p.m. (at Montmorenci)
Each year we gather with our neighbors from Montmorenci United Methodist Church to observe Maundy Thursday communion.  This year the service is at Montmorenci. Refreshments follow in their fellowship hall.

Tenebrae (Good Friday) Service
Friday, April 6, 7:30 p.m.
Tenebrae means “shadows”, and during this service, a series of candles are extinguished as the last day of Christ’s life is remembered through scripture, prayer, and song. This service ends very solemnly as we reflect on Christ’s death and enter into  mourning before His glorious resurrection. Child care is provided for age 5 and under.

Easter Sunday, April 8
We gather for a  Resurrection Service at 8:30 am next to the cemetery behind the church to welcome this day of celebration.
This service is followed by a breakfast at 9:00.
Bible Study begins at 9:40 a.m.
JAM Flowering the Cross, Ministries Center - children may bring fresh flowers to decorate an Easter Cross. Everyone is welcome to observe the transformation.

Easter Sunday worship begins at 10:45 a.m.
